Scarborough's iconic Stephen Joseph Theatre continues its varied offering at this spectacular venue.

This beautiful Art Deco building, which once housed Scarborough iconic Odeon Cinema, is just opposite Scarborough Railway Station, so it's quite close to the Red Lea Hotel.

The summer programme continued with a fabulous line up of plays and performances.

These include The 39 Steps (from 21st June); Joking Apart (from 26th July); Build a Rocket (from 31st August) and Better Off Dead (from 6th September).

Plus there's a number of one-off performances including Withering Looks (21st & 22nd September) and a number of play readings (dates vary).

Looking ahead, a present production of Shakespeare's Henry V will take place 9th to 13th October, then the children's classic Stig of the Dump will be performed by Outreach from 30th October to 3rd November.

The foyer area of the theatre underwent a refurbishment earlier this year and now looks fantastic.

There is also Shop at the SJT - a wonderful collection of artisan creations - which is open on performance days.

Why not take a look at the SJT's programme and book your seat!
