Reservations and Confirmations
All our room rates are quoted either per person per night (pppn) or per room per night (prpn), and include Full English Breakfast, unless otherwise stated. Rates including evening meal are also available, all extras taken during your stay will be added onto your final account and paid for on departure when card details have been given to reception, otherwise guests must pay as they go.
Payment is accepted by Cash, credit or debit card. Cheques are no longer accepted.
To confirm and guarantee a booking a non-refundable deposit is required. The hotel will confirm all booking by e-mail unless a letter is requested. Prices are subject to change without notice, however your price is guaranteed once you have paid your deposit.
The Balance of the account is due, either on or before your arrival at the Hotel.
Telephone calls may be recorded for training and security reasons.
Cancellations by the booker, for whatever reason will result in loss of the deposit only, provided a minimum of two weeks notice is given at all times. This does not apply to Christmas and new year bookings, where eight weeks notice is required.
Cancellations within these minimum notice periods will incur a charge of two thirds of the full total cost of the stay, less the deposit paid. Any cancellations within 48 hours of arrival will result in full payment been required (except Christmas and New Year where any cancellations after the 1st December will incur a full cancellation charge, less deposit paid. Alterations and amendments to a booking may incur an administration charge of £10.00 per alteration.
Guests are strongly advised to protect themselves against cancellation of a booking by taking our suitable travel/holiday insurance.
Check in/Check out
Rooms are generally available from 3pm on the designated day of arrival. Guests can pre book an early arrival at an additional charge of £10.00 per room (subject to availability). Rooms should be vacated by 10.30am. A late check out until 1pm can be pre booked at an additional charge of £20.00 per room.
Any guest who expects to arrive after 9pm should inform the hotel in advance.
General Terms and Conditions
Information, including Photographs given in any of our marketing material, including web sites, is given in good faith as a fair and accurate representation of the hotel and its facilities at the time of going to print. The hotel regularly updates and reviews all its marketing details.
Information therein is given for guidance only, and does not form any part of a contract between the Hotel and its Guests. From time to time, facilities and events may be withdrawn or altered due to repair or maintenance, adverse weather conditions, legislation changes or other factors outside our control, without prior notice to the guest, and not accepting any form of liability for such action.
Damages and Breakages
Guests are expected to take reasonable care in their use of the Hotel Accommodation and Facilities and will be responsible and liable for any damage caused, which must be reported immediately or as soon as practicable to a member of staff, especially if it is likely to cause a Health and Safety problem. We do not normally charge for a minor accidental breakage/damages, but reserve the right to charge if the damage is significant, or caused by misuse or negligence or not reported.
In the interest of security of our guests and staff, CCTV is in operation in the main public areas, including swimming pool, and video recordings may be made.
It is the policy of the Red Lea Hotel to respect the privacy of its guests, and not to sell or pass on any personal details provided by them onto any third party.
The Red Lea Hotel regrets that no pets are accepted into the hotel, except guide dogs.
The Red Lea Hotel is 100% non smoking. Any guest found to be smoking within the hotel could face a deep cleaning charge of £100.00. A smoking area can be found outside the hotel front door.
The Red Lea Hotel recognise that even in the best-run hotels, complaints may occasionally arise and it is our aim to settle any complaint as quickly as possible, and to the satisfaction of our guest. We would ask our guest to proceed as follows:
- Bring the complaint to the attention of reception immediately, or as soon is practicable.
- If you are dissatisfied with the result or speed or reply, please speak to the duty manager/ess.
- If you are still dissatisfied, please speak or write to the General Manager or owner of the Hotel.
None of the above affects your statutory rights.
Health and Safety
Guests must at all times take proper precautions to protect their own health and safety, and that of any of their party for whom they have responsibility, particularly minors. Guest must comply with the statutory regulations and displayed hotel notices including, but not limited to, those concerning fire, emergency procedures, smoking and licensing regulations.
It should also be noted that our Swimming pool is not supervised, and guests using this facility, do so at their own risk, and are responsible for their own safety. The displayed pool rules must be observed.
The Red Lea Hotel does not accept any responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by any guest, either to their persons or property. Unless it can be proved to be caused by negligence on the part of the Red Lea Hotel owners, staff or contractors whilst acting in the course of their employment.
No liability is assumed nor any compensation due for any circumstances outside the control of the Red Lea Hotel, including, without limitation, wars or the threat of wars, riots, strikes or industrial disputes and action, terrorist activity, natural disasters, including floods, earthquakes or subsidence, nuclear disasters, extreme weather conditions and their result, acts of God, or any other event or circumstances with consequences that could not have been avoided even if all proper care had been taken.
